Phenylephrine, chlorpheniramine maleate, and dextromethorphan hydrobromide is a combination medication used to relieve symptoms of the common cold, flu, and other respiratory allergies, including runny nose, sneezing, watery eyes, stuffy nose, and dry cough. It works as a decongestant (phenylephrine) to reduce nasal swelling, an antihistamine (chlorpheniramine maleate) to treat allergy symptoms, and a cough suppressant (dextromethorphan) to block cough signals from the brain.
